Lap Pool

The lap pool which is located on the first floor of the Recreation and Wellness Center provides nine lanes of lap swimming. In addition to lap swimming, the lap pool serves as a venue for other programs such as swim lessons, SCUBA certifications and sport club practices.

The lap pool has a lift for students with disabilities and the leisure pool has zero point entry that is accessible for students in wheelchairs

Lifeguard Certification

A Component of Aquatics

The lifeguards at the RWC are all Certified in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid. Lifeguard classes are taught by the Lifeguard Instructor Staff in house in fall and spring of each school year.

SCUBA Certifications

A Component of Outdoor Adventure

Outdoor Adventure offers three different levels of SCUBA certifications; open water, advanced, and enriched air (Nitrox). The classes are usually held in the Recreation and Wellness Center lap pool and wet classroom.

Swim Classes

A Component of Aquatics

Swimming is an excellent form of a total body workout. We strive to help all UCF students acquire the skill of swimming through our swim class program. Whether you are a beginner that has never swam or wanting to just improve your swimming strokes for your first triathlon our classes are for you.
