Lake Claire Attendant


Primary Function

To provide a positive and quality program experience while working at the Boat House at Lake Claire. Provide excellence on customer service renting equipment and modeling Lake Claire Park policies and procedures while working on regular shifts and/or group reservations. Also, you will be part of special projects and other major Outdoor Adventure events.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Educate, model and enforce Lake Claire policies.
  • Manage Lake Claire area with eyes for safety and awareness.
  • Report any unusual or unsafe observations to the Program Lead Manager.
  • Execute Emergency Action Plan for Lake Claire -Thor Guard if applicable, and medical response.
  • Attend all scheduled shifts, meetings, and in-services.
  • Assist Program Lead Manager with any additional assignments such as inventory counts, monthly inspections, and other items.
  • Commitment to the program and mission of Outdoor Adventure.
  • All employees are expected to perform all responsibilities in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner.
  • Maintain and complete all required paperwork.
  • Maintain positive energy even when things are hectic or stressful.
  • Remember that you influence the students’ experience as well as yours.

Requirements

  • Possess effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Possess a passion for working with others and being a team player.
  • Be able to work weekends, weeknights, and weekday afternoons.
  • Be willing to educate, model, and monitor policies.
  • Be comfortable with stretching out of comfort zone.
  • Be understanding and sensitive to working with diverse populations.
  • Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Attend to all mandatory trainings and in-services during the year.
  • Must possess a passion for working outside.
