Extramural Sports

UCF has a proud tradition participating in Extramural Sports, which are regional and national events where the best intramural teams compete against each other. Dating back to 1979 when UCF won the first ever Flag Football National Tournament, UCF teams, players and officials have represented as Knights at the highest levels. This page is a summary of accomplishments.

National Flag Football Tournament

  • Below is a table of significant finishes by division. Note that some years there were two National Tournaments (ACIS & NIRSA).
  • UCF has 16 National Championships, most in the country (FAMU – 10, UF – 10)
  • UCF is the only school to win multiple championships in all three divisions
  • UCF has had a team reach the Final Four every year since 2006
  • UCF has also had tremendous success with officials at the National Tournament. See this page for a list of all UCF students to earn All-American Officiating honors
