GREAT FOOD AND WEATHER AND MANY KNIGHTS EXPECTED FOR THE 4th ANNUAL EVENT WEDNESDAY! 500 Knights, free food, great conversations and new friendships Orlando, FL (February 3, 2020) – Those who eat together stay together. Food Is Love. On Wednesday, February 5, 2020 the University of Central Florida is inviting 500 students to a free, healthy 3-course lunch at to spark face-to-face conversations with new friends and encourage community building. The lunch begins at 12:15pm and goes until 1:00pm with check-in starting at Noon. Students can check in on Memory mall and need to bring a valid UCF ID. UCF staff and volunteers will provide meals to the first 500 students to arrive. Knights are encouraged to bring empty stomachs, open hearts and active listening to help make memories and connections with students that last a lifetime. Director of Wellness Health and Promotion Services, Maureen Hawkins the luncheon is an opportunity for students to meaningfully connect, “At the UCF Gather Luncheon, we get to talk to someone we might not have been acquainted with before, sit and enjoy a meal and show our campus that we are one big family coming together. We want our campus to feel like a family. It’s how we show we care.” UCF Dining Services and 4 Rivers Smokehouse are the 2020 partners for the event. Both partners have put together what is sure to be Gather’s best menu yet. The list of courses includes something for everyone: Drinks: Water Appetizer: Pineapple & Quinoa Salad Main course: BBQ Sandwich Dessert: Cookies *Allergen free options available, including vegan & vegetarian options.
