Adaptive Recreation

The RWC values the provision of quality programs and services that are accessible to the UCF community. We are continuously striving to develop recreational programs and search for new equipment that helps to create an inclusive environment. The RWC strives to ensure all of its facilities are adaptive and features several highlighted areas including:

  • Two aquatic facilities with chair lifts and a zero-entry leisure pool, as well as a wheelchair designed for aquatic use upon request
  • Assistive Rock Climbing with our haul system at the Climbing Tower
  • An adaptive kayak launch at Lake Claire
  • Strength and cardio equipment on the fitness floor for accessibility including handcycles, a NuStep cross-trainer, and several wheelchair-accessible Cybex selectorized machines

We are persistent in making efforts towards being accessible for all abilities. For questions regarding accommodations, please call 407-823-2408
