For students with disabilities: if you are in need of special accommodations to participate, please visit the Adaptive Recreation page.

RWC Programs

Program

Fitness

The RWC Fitness Program is comprised of six areas: Assisted Workout, Assessment, Fitness Orientation, Group Exercise, Personal Training, and Fitness Programs. All of these areas are designed to help UCF students achieve their fitness goals.

Program

Aquatics

The Recreation and Wellness Center has two pools: a leisure pool and an outdoor lap pool. The Aquatics program offers swim lessons, lifeguard tryouts, and SCUBA certifications. The Aquatics program also hosts two Splashdown events a year.

Program

Outdoor Adventure

Outdoor Adventure is a program compromised of five main areas: Adventure Trips, the Challenge Course, Equipment Rentals, Climbing Tower and Lake Claire. The program is housed in the Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) on the first floor of the RWC.

Program

Intramural Sports

Intramural Sports (IM Sports) offers all Activity and Service Fee paying UCF Students (and UCF Faculty and Staff who purchase Recreation and Wellness Center Memberships) the opportunity to participate in a variety of team, dual, and individual sports. Participating is a great chance to get involved. Several divisions of play are offered for most activities to accommodate various skill levels for both recreational and competitive participation.

Program

Risk Management

Risk management is the general safety provisions for the Recreation and Wellness Center. Our athletic trainers are most directly responsible for all phases of healthcare in an athletic environment, including preventing injuries from occurring, providing initial first aid and injury management, evaluating injuries, and designing and supervising a timely effective program of rehabilitation that can facilitate the safe and expeditious return of an athlete to activity.

Program

Regional Recreation

The Recreation and Wellness Center is pleased to partner with the Student Government Association, Student Outreach Services and Regional Campus Administration offices to extend our services to students on the Regional Campuses.

Program

Sport Clubs

The University of Central Florida (UCF) Sport Club Program is an agency of the UCF Student Government Association (SGA) and is advised by the Sport Club Staff at the UCF Recreation & Wellness Center (RWC). Each sport club is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) with the Office of Student Involvement (OSI). Sport Clubs exist to promote and develop interest in a particular sport activity. Interests may be competitive, recreational, instructional or any combination of the three.

Assumption of Risk Statement

sga logo Participation in Recreation and Wellness Center programs is completely voluntary. Individuals participate at their own risk and assume responsibility for their own health and safety.
