The Recreation and Wellness Center offers First Aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and/or AED (automated external defibrillator) Certification classes to current UCF students through the American Red Cross.
The RWC offers American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED, First Aid Blended Learning classes. The Blended Learning class includes an online portion (approx. 2-3 hours long) and an instructor-led class skills session (approx. 1 hour long). The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class skills session.
Each participant who successfully completes the Blended Learning course will earn an American Red Cross certificate in Adult First Aid/CPR/AED.

Have payment ready. The class price is $30 for students currently enrolled in classes.
Complete online portion of class at least 24 hours in advance of in-person skill session
Bring printed “Proceed to Skill” certificate with you to the MAC Gym on the day of your skills session as your admission ticket.
How long is a blended learning CPR class?
A blended learning in-person skills session is 60 minutes. Depending on the instructor and skill level of the participants, sometimes it can be shorter. The cognitive portion of the blended learning CPR class takes about 2-3 hours for most participants to complete.
How will CPR classes promote physical distancing?
All participants and the instructor will always be at least 6 feet apart. The distances will be marked by mannequins/class set up. Participants should expect to wear a face covering for the duration of the class.
Also, an alternate entrance and exit has been created for patrons that are participating in CPR classes. Participants will not need to walk through the gym to get to their designated blended learning class location.
I am a part of a UCF registered student organization. Can I schedule a private class for just members of my organization?
The Recreation and Wellness Center is accepting limited reservations for groups each semester. Contact the RWC Administrative Office for more information.
I am a UCF Alumni. Can I sign up for a CPR class?
Presently, our CPR classes are only offered to students that are currently enrolled in classes.
Is there an option to take a CPR class outdoors?
Currently, there are no outdoor options that have access to audio/video equipment and proper lighting to complete the course in need.
What levels of CPR are offered by the Recreation and Wellness Center?
