The mission of the UCF Recreation and Wellness Center is to foster healthy lifestyle choices and wellness through efficient services, comprehensive programs and high-quality facilities. The Recreation and Wellness Center is designed to enrich campus life and advance the University's educational mission.

Goals

Risk Management (Safety) Creativity

Utilizing the Training Model for the Emergency Action Plan, student will be trained and able to respond to emergencies that may occur in the Recreation and Wellness Center.

Diversity (Quality) Community

In collaboration with the Office of Diversity Initiatives, the RWC will develop cultural competencies for all RWC employees to establish an inclusive environment.

Staff Development (Dependable) Community

The RWC Work Team will participate in a Team Development Program that will enable staff to fulfill the mission of Recreation and Wellness Center.

Healthy Lifestyle (Fun) Excellence

Students will engage in Healthy Lifestyle behaviors as exhibited through participating in RWC programs.

The University of Central Florida and the Recreation and Wellness Center are not liable for injuries sustained during participation in a Recreation and Wellness Center sponsored activity. It is strongly recommended that all participants consult a physician and/or have a physical exam prior to participation. The University of Central Florida does not provide personal accident/health insurance. Therefore, participants are urged to secure their own insurance. You may suffer physical and/or mental injury from participating in these activities.
